Triangle AIDS Network Volunteer Program
TAN would not be in existence without the help and contributions of our volunteers. Volunteer training is provided and required for all persons interested in helping.
The following are volunteer options:
Health Fairs -- Pick up material, set up and man tables at various community health fairs, and distribute HIV and AIDS related materials.
Provide local transportation for client needs: grocery store, dentist, and various other incidentals.
Provide transportation to UTMB Galveston on the days the van does not go.
Provide transportation to TAN activities -- Picnic, Christmas Party, and other special events.
Provide transportation for clients to and from EIVC in Beaumont.
Fundraising Committee -- Responsible for generating donations to TAN through various strategies.
Grant Writing -- Research and identification of grant resources. Preparation and submission of grant proposals.
Clerical -- Assist with mailings, typing and switchboard at the TAN office.
Newsletter -- Assist in the publication of TAN's newsletter. Writing and typing articles, book and video review, and monthly bulk mailings.
Volunteer Training -- Assist in the training of volunteers and eventually take over training.
