The 2nd Annual
Community Health Fair
The Southeast Texas Family Resource Center and the Triangle AIDS Network are hosting a day of health education, fun and food for local families. On August 5, 2006 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. the public is invited to 2060 Irving Street, Beaumont to enjoy the free food, activities and information about many health issues. There will be a number of booths that will keep the entire family entertained as well as educated.
Below are just a few of the events/booths:
  • Kids Baseball Tournamet
  • American Lung Association
  • Alzheimer's Association
  • Jefferson County Health Department
  • Triangle AIDS Network
  • Barnes and Noble story time
  • American Heart Association
  • Beaumont Health Department
  • Julie Rogers Gift of Life Foundation
  • PALM (will have free HIV testing)
  • Free Food and more
    Special thanks go to the Port of Beaumont; Gilead Sciences; Sam's Club and the Salvation Army for helping to underwrite this event. We look forward to a day which will be both fun and educational.
    Health screenings such as cholesterol screening, diabetes testing, HIV testing and counseling, blood pressure checks and nutritional information will be included as well as fun activities for the children.

    The Southeast Texas Family Resource Center is a local community center that offers a technology facility as well as many other activities that benefit the community.

    Triangle AIDS Network is a non-profit organization that works to educate and serve the residents of Jefferson, Hardin and Orange Counties by providing accurate information about HIV, supporting those that are infected with HIVAIDS through educational, medical, social and psychological services and preventing the spread of HIV.
