| The Triangle AIDS Network honored Debby Stasinopoulou, the longtime creator of graphic designs for the annual Paint the Town Red fund-raiser, with the 2006 Red Ribbon Hero Award Thursday night (Nov. 2, 2006) for her efforts on behalf of persons living with HIV/AIDS. Stasinopoulou is art director for Michael Lee Advertising & Design Inc. of Beaumont. | |
| Tam Kiehnhoff, social services coordinator for TAN, announced the selection of Stasinopoulou to receive TANs highest honor for volunteer service at Paint the Town Red: M. Butterflys Kabuki Ball, staged at the Beaumont Country Club. The annual gala is TANs largest source of private funding.
Stasinopoulou is being honored for the creative spirit she lends so tirelessly to make Paint the Town Red truly a work of art, according to the inscription on her award, a specially framed rendition of the Kabuki Ball invitation she designed this year. |

During that time, the agency has been a Red Ribbon Underwriter of the event for its contribution of creative services. | |

| A resident of Beaumont, Stasinopoulou graduated from the University of Texas in Austin in 1971 with a bachelor of fine arts degree. She has 35 years of experience in art direction, illustration, copywriting, pre-press and production management, with experience working for retail businesses, printing firms and advertising agencies. | |

| Founded in 1992, Paint the Town Red supports client services and educational efforts of TAN. Since its inception, the event has raised more than $600,000 for TAN.
This year, auctions featured about 300 offerings art, fine furnishings, party and travel packages, celebrity items and an array of other items plus uniquely designed centerpieces created by area designers in keeping with the Kabuki Ball theme. |
