TELEPHONE RECEPTIONIST - (Urgent) During working hours (9-5), Monday through Friday, any portion of the day, TAN needs someone to answer the Telephone - If you have a pleasant speaking voice and some free time, please let us know. TRANSPORTATION - (Occasionally) TAN needs a driver to take a client to a designated medical or social service appointment. Drivers must be over the age of 18 and should be willing to complete a short training session before volunteering for this job. LUNCHES FOR VAN RIDERS - (Ongoing) TAN's minibus takes clients to UTMB Galveston three times a week. It's a long hard day since the bus leaves Beaumont at 6:30 a.m. and sometimes returns as late as 9:00 p.m. Would you like to provide sack lunches for riders on a regular basis? We try to get a volunteer so that no one makes lunches more than once a month. AIDS UPDATE - (Every October) This annual conference at
the Beaumont Holiday Inn Plaza attracts 500 individuals in the health care,
social work and counseling, and teaching professions. This year there was a
select group of keynote speakers followed by afternoon speakers who utilized
a workshop format to make presentations after the luncheon. We need volunteers
to help process registration forms, register individuals, and provide hospitality
and transportation to get speakers to and from designated locations. |
